Stream or Tributary Segment 303 (d) Listed Y N
Stream Segment Number 2477
TMDL Completed Y N
Project Goal:
The District and partnering agencies will install sprinkler systems cropland, pasture land and hay land within the next 5 years. The conversion from existing surface irrigation to sprinklers will assist in reducing sediment and phosphorus delivery into the 700 Creek Drainage and Big Wood River.
Water Quality Status:
Beneficial Use Status: Cold Water biota partial support
Salmon Spawning partial support
Primary Contact Rec. partial support
Identified Pollutants: Sediment, Ammonia, Nutrients,
Bacteria, dissolved Oxygen & flow alteration
TMDL Allocations: Reductions: 10 % sediment
24% phosphorus
ESA Species Status: No threatened or endangered
species were listed
Treatment Plan:
Critical Area for Treatment: Surface Irrigated cropland ,
pastureland hay land to sprinkler fed systems.
Treatment Units: Irrigated

Project Administration and Procedures:
The District board sets priorities by determining which BMP’s will make the most impact towards meeting water quality goals. The Conservation District will send payment applications and prepare financial records for annual audits while the board approves the application.
This grant will be integrated with the EQIP Program. Landowners may also apply for RCRDP low interest loans & other State & Federal programs, if available, to provide further financial assistance.
